James Clarke

James now owns his own Formula Ford car, a Van Diemen RF90. The car was purchased in 2020 and has taken 2 years to be rebuilt and made its racing debut at the 2022 Walter Hayes Trophy at Silverstone in November 2022.

The RF90 had not raced for many years, so a full chassis rebuild was required, together with an engine build. Many thanks to Phil Wills Racing (PWR), Linton Stutely (Enigma Motorsport), Dave Morgan, Jerry Thurston and Jack Kemp (Yakspeed) for all their efforts and patience!

James raced with Enigma Motorsport at the 2022 Walter Hayes, coming through in Janet Cesar Memorial Final (for pre-1993 cars) to win on the car’s debut – a fantastic result. James plans to further develop the car and to race at selected events through 2023.
